The Prague swing community keeps welcoming new young members, so we’ve decided to welcome them into our school. Season 2025/26 is the second year we’re offering classes for parents and children. The classes take place Thursday afternoons a couple of minutes from Wenceslas Square, all in (almost) one place, so that the whole family can join.
For the littlest of swing fans (3–5 y)
At four o’clock we start at Studio Naplno with Swingaroos: a course where the children will sing like parrots, dance like bears or discover why a certain song is the colour blue and what it has to do with turtles, all with their mum or dad with them – airsteps included!
For the slightly older little swing fans (5–7 y)
At five they’ll be followed by Lindy hopíci. Those will have fun with some steps and rhythm but still play a lot too and build their relationship to music and dance. If the children want they can even prepare a little choreo to show their parents.
For the big bros and sistas (8–12 y)
Also at five at Zkušebna ABC (a 3 minute walk from the main location) the Jazz cats have their own class where they explore body movement, tuning into the music and expressing it through the dance.
For the mums and dads
Since Lindy hopíci and Jazz cats can dance on their own, their parents are free to do their own thing at the same time! In ELEF Swing everyone dances with everyone, we explore different swing dances and sometimes dance with swingaroos between our legs because they’ve finished their class and might join their parents at theirs.
This class is for first-time swing dancers as well as veterans of the dancefloor who’d like to fit dancing back into their lives.
The three older groups can try the first class for 270 CZK / person – and if they like it, pay the rest of the course afterwards. We still recommend registering though, the capacity of the first class is limited and registered students come first.
Swingaroos are at capacity, so sign up for the waiting list ad in case someone drops out we’ll get in touch.
Siblings get a 40% discount and a parent who signs up their child has 20 % off any course(s) for themselves.
