The Prague swing community keeps welcoming new young members, so we’ve decided to welcome them into our school and from September we’re offering classes for parents and children. The classes will take place Thursday afternoons at Naplno studio in Štěpánská, all in one place, so that the whole family can join.
For the littlest of swing fans (2–4 y)
At four o’clock we start with Swingaroos: a course where the children will sing like parrots, dance like bears or discover why a certain song is the colour blue and what it has to do with turtles, all with their mum or dad with them – airsteps included!
For the slightly older little swing fans (5–7 y)
At five they’ll be followed by Lindy hopíci. Those will have fun with some steps and rhythm but still play a lot too and build their relationship to music and dance. If the children want they can even prepare a little choreo to show their parents.
For the mums and dads
Since the Hopíci can dance on their own, their parents are free to do their own thing next door at the same time! In Mamas & Papas Swing everyone will dance with everyone, we’ll explore different swing dances and sometimes dance with swingaroos between our legs because they’ll have finished their class and might join their parents at theirs.
This class is for first-time swing dancers as well as veterans of the dancefloor who’d like to fit dancing back into their lives.
Lindy hopíci and Mamas & Papas can try the first class for 250 CZK – and if they like it, pay the rest of the course afterwards.
Swingaroos are already at capacity, so they won’t have the first class open.
Siblings get a 40% discount and a parent who signs up their child has 20 % off any course(s) for themselves.
