Whether you’re looking to take up swing dancing or you’ve recently started and are hungry for more material or just want to party and get to know your fellow beginners, read on!<\/p>\n

We’ve prepared a Sunday afternoon of beginner-friendly learning and a relaxed party in the evening.<\/p>\n

WORKSHOP<\/h4>\n

\nLindy Charleston<\/strong><\/a>
\nLearn the basics of what Charleston looked like in the 1930s\u201340s and how it relates to Lindy hop and find easy ways to improvise to higher tempos.
\nLindy Charleston is fun, energetic and highly versatile, so you’ll encounter it all through your Lindy learning. This is your chance to get a head start and be comfortable with it from the very beginning.<\/p>\n

\nBreakaway<\/strong><\/a>
\nLearn the basic rhythm and shapes of an early form of Lindy hop that’s simple, chill and can easily be danced to medium to very high tempos.
\nBreakaway is an often underappreciated part of Lindy hop that lets you relax in high tempos and enjoy the flow with your partner. You’ll encounter it quite late in our Lindy hop curriculum but the basics are easy, so you can start now.<\/p>\n

PARTY<\/h4>\n

\nAfter classes we turn the lights down, get the snacks out, put some music on and just dance.
\nThe party starts with a 15 min short taster class on a beginner-friendly topic, something to spice up your dancing, then DJ Adam will take over and play a special selection for beginners of all swing styles.
\nBring your own drinks and snacks and all your swing dancing friends!<\/p>\n
