Contemporary with Václav Kuneš 2nd edition

3/3/2024
When: 6.30–8 pm
Where: Zkušebna ABC

The January workshop was so packed we’ve decide to add another one: contemporary for swing dancers, a workshop where you see dance in a whole new way thanks to the experience of teacher and professional dancer Václav Kuneš. Body work is a neverending story. Our body keeps changing in time, evolving. Every body, like ourselves, is different and unique. The principles and boundaries of mobility, however, are given. The sooner we discover our own uniqueness within those limits, the longer we’ll be able to dance. This applies to all dancers.

Václav Kuneš graduated from the Dance Conservatory, he’s a professional dancer, choreographer and leader of the contemporary dance ensemble 420 PEOPLE. He’s been dancing contemporary on a professional level for 30 years. Half of this time has been spent abroad and the other 15 years he’s been taking care of the 420 PEOPLE ensemble.

“I enjoy dance in all of its forms, I belive in joining different styles and genres. I believe that good dance has the potential to speak to any audience. I like learning new things and expect the same from dancers of the 21st century,” says Václav Kuneš.

REGISTRATION

We’ve added this workshop primarily to satisfy those who didn’t get to join the first one in January. However, if anyone who took part in January wants to come again, repeating the movements deepens the effect of getting to know your body. That’s it, doing it a million times over, differently each time. :-)
